Alaska Flatfish Re-Certified December 2019
Alaska flatfish complex commercial fishery which includes the fisheries listed below employing trawl gear and longline gear (Greenland Turbot only) within Alaska jurisdiction (200 nautical miles EEZ), and principally managed by two federal agencies, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC), was awarded continued RFM Certification in December 2019.
